Air Starter A-16 Starter Features:   

• The type A 16 air starters are generally used for starting Diesel engines of an approximate rating of up to 300 kW (400 HP), although the suitability depends, in practice, on the engine capacity, number of cylinders and the ratio of the pinion to the flywheel ring gear.
  

Air Starter A-45 starter Features:   

• The type A 45 air starters are generally used for starting Diesel engines of an approximate range of ratings of 1100-5000 kW (1500-6800 HP), although the suitability depends, in practice, on the engine capacity, number of cylinders and the ratio of the pinion to the flywheel ring gear. These starters can also be used to start gas turbines of similar rating.

Air Starter S-20 Starter Features:   

• The S 20 air starter has been developed to start Diesel engines of a power range from 400 to 2000 Kw (544 to 2720 HP), depending essentially on number and bore of cylinders, stroke of pistons and transmission ratio between the starter pinion and flywheel crown. The S 20 is also suitable for Gas engines and Turbines of similar power.

  The Galí starters are characterized by their high turning speed (4000 rpm in its standard version), keeping its Torque from the beginning, thanks to its acceleration in a matter of fractions of second due to its reduced internal inertia.

• The turning device has the following uses.

  1. To get the measured cranking of its rotating parts by means of its flywheel crown giving to them. The precise position for needed inspection or control.
  2. To get the general pre-lubrication of the engine, cranking it for several turns before starting.
  3. When in the engine, is presumable the existence of leaked liquid coolant inside a cylinder and its detection is compulsory to be know and drained before starting.

Starting Limiter Features:   

• It is a security device that stops the starter when the engine turns faster than the pinion. This the device is based on the negative toque principle when the pinion is suddenly pulled back by the engine.
